You make a good point, Lydia. I believe people do remember things better if they do it themselves, and so it's probably not a good idea to automate everything. Better to make a custom map to start with (using signposts that people really care about) then as you say the process of drawing (with a pen or computer mouse) all the little yellow dots and arrows would certainly potentially be memorable. I'm not sure, though. What amnesics recall and forget is different... have a great holiday!
